Alexanderplatz is also transformed into a big Christmas spectacle around Christmas time. . There are three different Christmas markets around Alexanderplatz. Near the Roten Rathaus, for example, is the Christmas market called ‘Berliner Weihnachtszeits’. This market has a 50-meter high Ferris wheel and a skating rink. The stalls are decorated in the style that reminds you of the last century. And of course there is a Santa Claus walking around the market three times a day. Alexanderstraße
