The Top Locations to Get into the Christmas Spirit

There are three main squares to visit during Christmas in Luxembourg City: Place de La Constitution, Place d'Armes and Place de Paris. Choose a hotel near one of these charming squares for the ultimate Christmas experience.

Place de La Constitution

Place de la Constitution is home to more than 40 Christmas stalls full of delicacies and charming Christmas gifts. The highlight of this Christmas market is the Ferris wheel with a panoramic view of the city, the Casemates of the Petrusse and the Pont Adolphe. After a ride on the Ferris wheel you can enjoy a delicious glass of Glühwein.

Place d’Armes

Place de Paris

The Niklos Market

On Place de Paris, near the central station, hosts the annual traditional Sinterklaas market, also known as the 'Niklosmarkt'. Here you can experience the Christmas atmosphere at the impressive 20-meter-high Christmas tree and even meet Saint Nicholas.

Enjoy Ice Skating and More

Just outside the city center is Parc Kinnekswiss, where a large, partly covered ice rink is installed every year. Here you will also find Christmas stalls where you can warm up with hot chocolate or a delicious glass of Glühwein after skating.
