Bloemenmarkt Amsterdam - Market

The Amsterdam Flower Market is the oldest and largest flower market in Europe. The market is located on the Singel, between Koningsplein and Muntplein in the heart of Amsterdam. There are more than 100 stalls where flowers, plants, bulbs, seeds, flower pots and garden decoration are offered for sale. The market is open daily from 08:00-18:00 (on Sundays from 09:00-17:30).

Location and accessibility

The flower market is located on the Singel, one of the oldest canals in Amsterdam. The market is easily accessible by public transport, tram lines 12,2 and 24 take you to the market in the fastest way. A good alternative to the tram is to use an OV-fiets. These are available at Amsterdam Central Station.

Parking

If you want to go to the flower market in Amsterdam, it is important to check in advance think about where to park. Most people think they can just park in the inner city, but that is often very expensive and there is no space. 

So if you are a bit smart, you better park outside the inner city and then take the tram or bus to the flower market. There are several P+R areas in Amsterdam where you can park for a few euros a day. And if you go by public transport, it is also good for the environment.

The flower market in Amsterdam is open daily from 08:00 to 18:00. On weekends, the market is open from 09:00 to 17:00.
