DNK Assen - Cinema

De Nieuwe Kolk (DNK), with a theatre, cinema and library, is the cultural heart of Axes. The complex was completed in 2012 and since 2017 the various organizations have merged into DNK. The cultural center attracts more than 475,000 visitors every year.

The DNK Assen theater has two halls, a foyer and a café. The Great Hall offers space for 859 visitors. The smaller Rabo Hall has room for 222 guests. Every year there are approximately 160 performances on the program of De Nieuwe Kolk.

If you purchase your tickets online from us, you will immediately receive your electronic ticket by email. You don't even have to print the cards anymore. Showing the attachment on a mobile device is sufficient. Even if you are already in line, you can quickly buy an e-ticket! With an electronic ticket you can go through the regular entrance and use our special e-ticket entrance. So never stand in line again, easy, fast and simple!

Pay with Pin Only

At DNK we no longer accept cash, this is both for safety and hygiene considerations. Make sure you take your debit card with you.

Cinema vouchers

You can pay online with the digital pass version of the National Cinema Voucher.

Canceling Tickets

Purchased tickets are normally non-refundable. In exceptional cases you can exchange your tickets for a voucher. This voucher is valid for 2 years and will be credited to your 'My DNK account'. We prefer to receive your cancellation as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours before the start of the film.

National Cinema Voucher

DNK sells the Digital National Cinema Voucher with a value of € 5.00 to € 150.00. These cinema vouchers can be exchanged at more than 150 cinemas, both at the box office and online. You can only pay at the box office with the old paper National Cinema Voucher.

DNK Film Pass

With the Film Pass you can attend five regular film screenings for just €37.50. The Film Pass can be exchanged for a film ticket online or at the ticket machine. When selecting your seats online, choose 'DNK Filmpas', enter the code below the barcode and click on 'check code'. More information can be found at www.dnk.nl/filmpas.
