In the park there are various walking tours marked out in length. For example, there is the 'Geul en Veluwepad' tour of 15 kilometers, but you can also go for the 'Hoge Geul' walk with a length of 4 kilometers. View more information on the website.

There are several walking and cycling paths that lead you through the park. You will pass beautiful places where you can rest and enjoy the silence. During a walk through the park you can also encounter various animals, such as roe deer, deer and birds. It is a wonderful place to get away from the busy city.

De Hoge Veluwe National Park is a beautiful place for walking and enjoying nature. However, it is important to be well prepared before you go to the park. Parking costs € 8 per day.

Food

There are also several restaurants within the park where you can have lunch or dinner. Prefer to eat outside the park? Hotel de Ritzert is a few minutes' drive from the park. This is an atmospheric and cozy restaurant where you can enjoy a nice dinner. However, if you are looking for a little more adventure, you can go to windmill De Zwaluw in Ottersum. Here they make lemonade in the traditional way and sell filled sandwiches.

Entrance and opening hours

In the Hoge Veluwe National Park you can go for a day of walking, cycling or picnicking. It is a beautiful area to completely relax. Please note: a maximum speed of 20 km per hour applies in the park.

Entrance to the Hoge Veluwe National Park is free. Parking costs €8 per day. Opening hours: open daily from sunrise to sunset.
