| The fairytale Christmas market in Alsfeld is located in front of the historic half-timbered backstage of the Marktplatz. In addition to a varied program of music, dance fairy tales and much more, there are many activities for visitors to the Christmas market during 10 days. Candle making, glass blowing and more medieval activities are offered by certain traders to participate in. The fairy forest will also be open every day. There will still be a lot to discover here. In addition to the Christmas market, you can experience a lot about Alsfeld's history during the public tours.
A special highlight this year is the large ice skating rink that will be located directly in front of the Town Hall. ‘Alfeld on Ice’ also this year offers the opportunity to venture out on the ice. Skates can be rented on site. The ice rink will be open from late November to mid-January. Various events will also be offered here
