Time investment and new additions 

Investing together approximately 400 volunteers spend considerable time and effort to take care of everything down to the last detail. This puts considerable pressure on a permanent group of volunteers within the organization. Visitors have indicated that they would like to see new elements with each edition, and that is also our aim. However, this requires significant work. That is why the project team has decided to organize the Lemster Dickens Festival every two years from now on. This offers the organization more space to develop a wonderful program and ensures that the event remains fun for the volunteers.

No Lemmer without a Dickens atmosphere 

But what is Lemmer without the cozy winter atmosphere in December? That's why we won't let this year pass completely unnoticed. We will organize a fun activity on the weekend of December 16 and 17, 2023. The exact details are not yet known, but more information will follow soon.

The residents are looking forward to the Christmas period full of atmosphere and conviviality and are curious to know what is true about the rumors going through the village… It is reported that the subdistrict court is being reinstated and Judge Franciscus Visscher arrives in the village to judge a number of unsavory cases. The famous Bonkeschudders have converted their Steampunk machine into a distillery and the newly established boxing gym ‘The Rule of Thumb’ is organizing its first tournament. It is certain that special things will happen again in the Dickens village.
