Winterfestijn Arnhem 2023 will take place again this year and this year from December 11 to January 3. The city center of Arnhem will then once again be transformed into an enchanting Winter Festival on the Yellow Riders Square. This festival includes a huge indoor ice skating rink, an exciting 50-meter fun slide and an atmospheric winter market. During this month the square will be bustling with activities and exude a warm, cozy atmosphere. Visitors can look forward to all kinds of winter delicacies, illuminated Christmas stalls, entertainment, acts, live music and heart-warming dishes and drinks.

The Christmas market

In At various chalets, visitors can enjoy winter delicacies such as pea soup, mulled wine, bratwurst and poffertjes. In addition, various catering entrepreneurs offer delicious snacks and drinks at the cozy winter terrace at the skating rink. From December 11 to January 3, the Yellow Riders Square is the beating heart of winter in Arnhem.

In the city center of Arnhem, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the Christmas atmosphere. Streets will be filled with Christmas carols, both from loudspeakers and performed live by Christmas choirs. Of course, Christmas trees are not missing from the street scene. Your visit will of course start or end with an atmospheric ice skating trip or an exciting slide on the fun slide. Visitors will be surprised by special, comical and magical performances that make the festival extra special. And as icing on the cake, Santa Claus will even pay a visit! Shops open longer

In addition to the winter festival, the shops in the city center remain open from 12 noon to 5 p.m. /6 p.m. Additional shopping evenings are planned on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 December, as well as on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 December.
