The Vierdaagsefeesten in Nijmegen is the largest accessible event in the Netherlands and shows the whole of Nijmegen what it has to offer: choose from more than 1000 performances< /a> divided over as many as 40 different stages. There is something for everyone, whether you like pop, classical, rock, techno or jazz.

You celebrate a big party together with others. And you can count on that during the Four Days Marches festivities: party together with one and a half million other visitors who can be found in Nijmegen for seven days. Program

A selection of the most famous names on the program are Snollebollekes, Antoon, Flemming, Ronnie Flex, Mart Hoogkamer, Donnie, Bizzey, Boef, Douwe Bob, Frank Boeijen, Meau (sold out ), Frans Duijts, Kris Kross Amsterdam, Lucas & Steve, Wolter Kroes, Tino Martin, Tim Knol, Jannes, FeestDJRuud and Mental Theo. 

These and many more artists can be found at Matrixx Live aan de Kade, Plein 1944, Faberplein, Hertogplein, Matrixx at the Park, Molenstraat, and Stevenskerk Live. Moreover, good cover bands, party acts and DJs ensure that you can sing and dance along to hits from the past to the present in many locations.

All kinds of genres

At Onder Other Valkhof Festival, De Kaaij, Smaakmarkt and Ramblas there are many new names to discover for real music lovers in the genres rock, pop, indie, singer-songwriter, stoner, jazz, latin, garage, punk, or rock 'n roll. You can also go wild on electronic dance, techno or house music at the Vierdaagsefeesten. On Wednesdays, the city turns pink and the festival of acceptance and diversity is celebrated.

In addition to the festivities, you will also find theatre, workshops and lectures at Festival op 't Eiland. There are also kids' programs at various stages, you can abseil from the Stevenstoren and enjoy the traditional fireworks show and the facade concert on Sunday evening.

Number of stages

Vierdaagsefeesten is not one event, but 40 festivals in one: each stage is a festival in itself. About 15 event organisers, catering entrepreneurs and cultural institutions each take on the programming of one or more stages. View the main locations on the organization's website.

Locations

Most organizers return after three years, but at a number of locations you will find new stages. The Kronenburger Park, the Waal Park (near the Flower Coat of Arms), Kelfkensbos, the Bloemerstraat and the In de Betouwstraat will be given a new meaning. This year a stage will appear for the first time on Ganzenheuvel (crossing between Hezelstraat and Houtstraat). With these new collaborations, you as a visitor are provided with a pleasant, diverse programming and above all a great atmosphere for seven days!

In the Kronenburgerpark you could 7 editions enjoy Otis Park. You will find Otis' jazz programming this summer at various other locations in the city, but the Kronenburger Park will now become Hubert's site in collaboration with Subcultuur, PAAK and Bijsmaak. The Waalpark has been the site of Hennes Latin Stage for the past 14 editions. Now the adjacent Valkhof Festival is expanding with a new stage, called 'Bloem'. With this addition to the flower coat of arms, the spectrum of this discovery festival broadens even more towards jazz, soul, funk and music from all corners of the world. For this, the Valkhof Festival is collaborating with Otis, Music Meeting and Baobob, among others, and a touch of Latin is also returning to the park. View the program of Valkhof Festival.

Op Kelfkensbos in 2019 you still found Zomerbar 024. Now the makers of Smaakmarkt Labyrinth are coming here with a second concept: Kelfkensbos Festival. The square will be transformed into the place to be where young and old dance together to timeless pop classics. What exactly are they going to do? That is still a surprise. The In the Betouwstraat will be transformed this year by café Groots into Villa Groots Plein. From piano bar pianists to party DJs, here you will find fun and party: pop, rock or Dutch. View the program of Villa Groots Plein.

New this year is a stage in the Bloemerstraat, for which PAAK, De Bloemerbar, Terra Rossa and Café de Cozy are joining forces. In the Bloemerstraat you will find two stages with various programs for a healthy balance between fun and relaxation. On the Goose Hill A new stage appears. An oasis of tranquility is being created in front of and organized by Nibbles, Holt and De Heerlijckheid. On Ganzenheuvel, local artists show their skills in a semi-acoustic setting. View the program of the Ganzenheuvel.

We are happy with the implementation of this new locations and that so many new collaborations have arisen when filling in these new stages.
