Discover the steam trams in the Historic Triangle between Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen. With Bello or one of our other locomotives you drive through the West Frisian landscape from Hoorn to Medemblik on the local railway from 1887. Step pointsYou start (and end) in Hoorn. Before you leave, you can visit the museum'. Here you will discover the still working signal box and exhibition De Tijdlijn. The steam safari also starts here for kids up to 12 years old. Timetable and ticketsThe steam tram will run again from 1 April, the steam tram runs from Tuesday to Sunday. It is advisable to check the timetable on the website for a detailed schedule. You will also find all departure times per day there. During the ride, the tram takes you past the characteristic station buildings of Wognum – here you can view the station -, Twisk and Opperdoes. The terminus of the steam tram is Medemblik. The museum shipFrom the jetty in Medemblik departs the historic ship Friesland. With the ship you make the crossing to 'Enkhuizen' and make a stopover at the ' Zuiderzee Museum. On the upper deck you can enjoy views over the former Zuiderzee. If you look to the other side, you will see the beautiful West Frisian coast. The boat continues to the jetty in Enkhuizen, located next to the railway station. |
