Stoomtrein Goes-Borsele Goes - steam train

The steam train of Goes-Borsele is a moving museum and a unique way to view South Beveland.The train runs from Goes to Hoedekenskerke and also stops at Kwadendamme station. Here you can get off for a visit to Berkenhof’s Tropical Zoo. On the wooden benches in 3rd class or on the soft seats in 1st and 2nd class you can enjoy a relaxed train journey in an authentic steam train. 

In addition to the steam trains, a railcar, a compact old-fashioned diesel train, also runs on certain days. It also stops at the small stations that are skipped by the steam train: ’s-Gravenpolder-’s-Heer Abtskerke, Nisse and Baarland.

You can also visit the museum depot in Goes. Trains are set up on this site and from here they depart for the journey on the museum railway. You can also visit the workshop where volunteers restore and maintain the trains.'On the museum grounds you can also experience freight transport as it used to be. Weighbridges, old-fashioned freight cars and even a real steam crane can be admired here.

A steam train has a wheelchair lift. It is wise to make a reservation for this. Please contact the organization before purchasing your tickets.
