The Veluws Sand Sculpture Festival is an annual event that takes place in Garderen, a village on the Veluwe. During this event, beautiful sand sculptures are exhibited, made by professional sand artists from the Netherlands and abroad. The sculptures are made of specially processed sand, making them resistant to wind and weather and able to stand for a long time. The theme of the event changes every year and the sculptures are adapted accordingly. For example, in previous years there have been themes such as 'Out and about in our own country', 'Dutch masters' and 'Hans Christian Andersen'. In addition to the sand sculptures, there are also other activities on the site, such as a playground for children, a miniature golf course and a corn maze. There is also a restaurant where visitors can enjoy a snack and a drink. The Veluws Sand Sculpture Festival attracts thousands of visitors every year and is a popular attraction for families, art lovers and tourists. It is a unique way to admire the creativity and craftsmanship of sand artists and to enjoy a pleasant day out in the nature of the Veluwe. |
