Wuppertal's iconicity is epitomized by the suspended monorail, which runs 13 km through the city. The majority of this network follows the course of the River Wupper, and only four of the twenty stops have solid ground beneath them. More than 80,000 people use this floating monorail every day.

This makes it not only an everyday means of transport for the city residents, but also a popular tourist attraction. Many of the sights are easily accessible on foot from the twenty stations of the ropeway. Since 1 August 2019, only trains of the 15th generation are in use.

With the 24 and 48-hour ticket you enjoy absolute flexibility. You can use both the bus and the ropeway for 24 or 48 hours, and there's even room to bring extra companions. This is an ideal option for a day trip or exploring the city. You only need to select the number of fellow travelers. Children under six travel for free.
