ARTIS Amsterdam - Animal Park

Artis zoo is located in the middle of Amsterdam. This zoo has existed since 1838. The Zoo has a unique set-up and design due to its location.

The zoo is rich in various animal species, including crocodiles, lions, elephants, giraffes and penguins. 
Not only can you have fun by admiring the animals, but it is also an inspiring environment in which to relax.

Different zones have been created in the park, each of which has its own experience.

p>In addition to the animals, the park also offers more experiences, including:

• ARTIS-Groote Museum where you become one with your senses and learn a lot about life on earth.
• ARTIS tells in which you are taken along by the caretakers with stories about the animals.
• ARTIS-Planetarium in which you make a journey through the universe.
• ARTIS-Micropia in which you discovers what you don't see, the microbiological life.

Please note, these activities are not always included in the tickets.

The Due to its location, the zoo is less large than most zoos, yet you can easily enjoy a day here due to the design and activities at the park itself.
Events are often organized on the many green fields in the park, think to music events or tours. Please check their website for more information.

There is a large paid parking lot next to the park, and the park is also easily accessible by public transport or bicycle.

Children aged 0-2 may enter the park for free.
