The Sassenpoort is a historic gate located in the center of Zwolle, the Netherlands. It is one of the oldest remnants of Zwolle's city wall and is an important historical monument. The gate was built in the 14th century and served as a gateway to the city for many years. Today, the Sassenpoort is a popular tourist destination and is regularly used as a backdrop for cultural and historical events. The Sassenpoort is a unique piece of history and offers visitors a glimpse into the past of Zwolle. The gate is one of the best preserved gates in the Netherlands, the gate can also be admired from the inside (17 February to March 4) on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
