Faro de Cap Gros, also known as the Lighthouse of Cala Ratjada, is one of the most famous lighthouses on the island of Mallorca in Spain. It is located on the easternmost point of the island, about 3 kilometers north of the town of Cala Ratjada.
The lighthouse was built in 1861 and has a height of 21 meters. It is painted white with red accents and has a rotating light that emits a white flash every 10 seconds. The light has a range of approximately 22 nautical miles and serves as an important beacon for ships approaching the coast.
Visitors can climb the lighthouse and enjoy a panoramic view of the coastline and the sea. There is also a small museum next to the lighthouse where visitors can learn about the history of the lighthouse and the maritime history of the region.
