Gorg Blau is a reservoir located in the Serra de Tramuntana region, in the northwest of the island of Mallorca. The lake was created by the construction of a dam in the course of the river Torrent de Pareis.
The reservoir is an important part of the water supply of the island of Mallorca and supplies several municipalities with drinking water. It is also a popular tourist attraction due to its beautiful location between the mountains and its clear, blue waters.
The area around Gorg Blau offers several hiking and cycling routes, including the famous Ruta de la Pedra en Sec, which runs from the reservoir to the coast passing some of the most spectacular scenery of the Serra de Tramuntana.
