The Ascension Bicycle 4 Days In Delden starts and ends in the center of Delden, a historic town with countless beautiful monumental buildings. Delden is part of the municipality of Hof van Twente, together with Bentelo, Diepenheim, Goor, Henfaelde, Markelo and various hamlets. The famous castle Twickel is located near the center of Delden and is part of the largest estate in the Netherlands. This estate includes about one hundred and fifty farms, two water mills, a water tower and a sawmill.RegistrationRegistration is possible from 10:00 on all starting days until 1:00 PM. The starting point is Eetcaféé de Burgemeester. A 4-day ticket costs €10 per person. It is also possible to cycle along on individual days! A day ticket costs €3.50 per person. RoutesThere are 4 different themed routes of 30 and 50 km, where you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and the hospitality of Twente. Thursday 18 May - Dauwtraproute On Ascension Day you cycle through the hamlets of Plaay, Altena and Stepelo. Along the church villages of Beckum, Boekelo and the beautiful Buurzerzand. Friday 19 May - Twickelroute'On Friday you will get to know the beautiful Twickel estate and the characteristic farms. The route leads to Zenderen, Hertme, Saasveld and Borne. Saturday 20 May - Hofroute Today you will discover the versatility of the Hof van Twente. The route takes you to Wiene, Goor, Stokkum, Zeldam and Delden, among others. Sunday 21 May - Markenroute On the last day you will get to know the beautiful Markenroute. The length of the routes is 30 or 50 km |
