King Albert Park is a park near Central Station and the diamond district. The park is named after King Albert I of Belgium. and was originally laid out in the early 20th century.
The park covers an area of more than 20 hectares and features several walking paths, a children's playground, a pond and a number of beautiful gardens.
One of the park's most notable features is the Neoclassical Temple of the Harmonie, a monumental building that originally served as a concert hall. Today it is used as an event venue and can be rented for parties, weddings and other special occasions.In the summer months, the park is also the venue for various festivals and events, including the popular Bollekesfeest, which revolves around the famous Antwerp beer. The park is also a popular place to have a picnic or just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
