Marinedagen 2023 Den Helder - Event

Sail Den Helder will also take place in Den Helder again! Again in combination with the Marine Days that will be organized by the Royal Netherlands Navy. Den Helder has a long and successful history together with Sail Den Helder. Den Helder has successfully organized Sail Den Helder five times in the past; in 1993, 1998, 2008, 2013 and 2017. And now a sixth Sail Den Helder from June 29 to July 2, 2023! More updates will follow as they become available.

New Technologies and Innovations: During the Marine Days 2023, visitors will witness the latest technologies and innovations in maritime warfare and security. Some highlights include:

1. Unmanned Vessels: These autonomous vehicles can support submarines, surface ships and aerial vehicles in conducting missions, without a human crew on board is. They are able to gather intelligence, detect and neutralize mines, and locate and attack enemy targets.

2. Cybersecurity: In an era where cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated , it is critical that the Navy has the resources to defend against cyberattacks and conduct offensive cyber operations. During the Marine Days, the Royal Netherlands Navy will demonstrate its latest cybersecurity techniques and strategies.

3. Green initiatives: To meet the growing demands for sustainability and environmental awareness, the Royal Netherlands Navy will demonstrate its efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of its operations. This includes, among other things, the use of hybrid propulsion systems and renewable energy sources, as well as initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Marine Days 2023 will also focus on cooperation and partnerships between the Royal Netherlands Navy, industry and other maritime organisations. By working closely together, the various parties can pool their knowledge, expertise and resources to develop more effective solutions for the complex challenges facing the navy.
